1. Who we are and what these terms cover

These terms apply to every booking made with Safari Desert Dubai, whether through this website, over WhatsApp, or by phone. We are a licensed tour operator based in Dubai, running desert experiences in the Al Lahbab red dunes: guided safaris, self-drive buggies, quad bikes, dirt bikes, camel rides and hot air balloon flights. When you complete a booking, you accept these terms on behalf of yourself and everyone in your group. If you are booking for family or friends, make sure they know what applies to them, particularly the safety and health sections below. Reading this page takes about five minutes and answers most of the questions guests ask us before a tour.

2. Bookings and payment

You must be 18 or older to make a booking. We accept Visa and Mastercard, and every charge is processed in UAE dirhams (AED) through a secure payment gateway. Your booking is confirmed once your online advance payment goes through, and we send written confirmation within 48 hours with your activity, date and meeting details.

Check that confirmation carefully when it arrives. If a name, date or package looks wrong, message us on +971 52 447 2719 or email [email protected] and we will put it right. Our support team is available 24/7, so a late-night question about pickup timing or group size gets answered the same hour, not the next business day.

3. Pricing

All prices on this site are in AED. Desert safari packages are priced per person unless the page says otherwise. Dune buggies are priced per buggy, not per seat, so a 4-seater price covers everyone riding in it. Private safaris are priced per vehicle for up to six guests. The pricing basis is stated on each tour page, and that is the one that applies.

A price only becomes fixed when your booking is confirmed. Until then we may adjust rates, for example around peak season or public holidays. Once you hold a confirmation, the price on it stands. A few activities, such as the KTM dirt bike and camel rides, are quoted individually; message us on WhatsApp for the current rate rather than relying on third-party listings.

4. Your responsibilities as a participant

Every self-drive activity starts with a safety briefing from our marshals. Listen to it, follow it, and stay inside the marked riding area. Helmets and goggles are provided and must be worn whenever the engine is running. A guest who repeatedly ignores instructions can be stopped from riding without a refund, because one careless driver puts the whole group at risk.

Quad bikes come in engine sizes matched to age and build. As a guide, the Kids Quad Bike suits riders aged 9 to 12, the COBRA suits 14 to 17, and adults choose from the larger machines. There is no strict height rule, but a rider needs to reach the handlebars and footrests comfortably. Parents are responsible for choosing the right quad for their child and staying close during the ride.

Tell us honestly about your health when you book. Dune bashing is not suitable for pregnant guests or anyone with a serious back, neck or heart condition, and an undisclosed condition creates a risk our team cannot manage. If you are unsure whether an activity suits you, ask before paying and we will point you to a gentler option, such as a camel ride or the balloon flight.

5. Risk and liability

Desert activities are adventure sports. Driving over soft dunes, riding a quad, or flying in a balloon carries a level of risk that no operator can remove completely, however carefully the route is chosen or the machine maintained. By booking, you confirm you understand this and choose to take part with that in mind.

Safari Desert Dubai is a licensed and insured operator, and our guides are trained for the terrain we work on every day. Where we are found liable for loss or injury, that liability is limited to the extent UAE law allows. We are not responsible for personal belongings brought on tour, or for injury caused by a guest disregarding the safety briefing or riding outside the marked area.

6. Changes, cancellations and refunds

Plans shift, and we get that. Our full cancellation tiers, including how much notice you need to give for a full refund, live on the refund policy page at /refund-policy/, and that page forms part of these terms. To change a date or swap packages, message us on WhatsApp with your confirmation number and we will accommodate you whenever availability allows.

We may cancel or pause an activity when weather or safety demands it. Sandstorms ground the buggies, and balloon flights need calm winds. If we cancel, you choose between a full refund and a free reschedule to a date that suits you. Weather calls are made by our team on the ground, and their decision is final because it exists to protect you.

7. Our content and use of this site

The text, photographs, videos and logo on safaridesertdubai.com belong to Safari Desert Dubai or are used under licence. You are welcome to share links to our pages and save details for your own trip planning. Copying our content onto another website, reselling our packages under a different name, or using our brand in your own marketing needs our written permission first.

Please use the site as it is intended. Do not submit false bookings, probe the booking system, or scrape pages in bulk. We can restrict access for anyone misusing the site. We may also update these terms from time to time; the version published on this page is the one that applies to new bookings.

8. Governing law and how to reach us

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, and any dispute that cannot be settled directly between us falls under the jurisdiction of the Dubai courts. If one clause is found unenforceable, the rest continue to apply. In practice, nearly every issue gets resolved with a quick message long before it comes anywhere near a dispute.
