How Safari Desert Dubai collects, uses and protects your information. Last updated July 2026.
What information we collect
To run your tour we need a few basics: your name, a phone or WhatsApp number we can reach on the day, your email address, and a hotel or pickup location if your package includes transfers. That is the core of it. If you message us on WhatsApp or through the contact form, we keep the conversation so that whoever picks up your query later has the full picture and you never have to explain twice.
Payment works differently. When you pay online to confirm a booking, your card details go directly to a secure third-party payment gateway. We never see the full card number and we do not store it anywhere on our systems. What comes back to us is a simple confirmation that the payment went through, plus a reference we can match to your booking.
One more thing: bookings must be made by an adult aged 18 or over. If you are younger, ask a parent or guardian to book for you. We may note the names and ages of children in your group, but only because some activities, quad bikes for example, carry age recommendations we have to check before you ride.
How we use your information
Everything we collect has a job to do. Your phone number is how our driver finds you at pickup and how we reach you if timings shift or the weather forces a change of plan. Your email is where the booking confirmation lands. The hotel or pickup address goes to the driver handling your transfer, and nowhere else. When you contact support, we pull up your booking details so we can answer properly instead of asking you to repeat everything from the start.
We do not use your details for anything unrelated to your booking or our own record keeping. No cold calls, and no passing your number to other companies for their marketing. If we ever want to send you offers or news, we will ask you first, and saying no will not affect your booking or how we look after you.
Cookies and analytics
Like most websites, ours uses a small number of cookies. Some keep the site working properly. Others feed basic analytics that tell us which pages people read, roughly where visitors come from, and where they give up. We use those numbers to improve the site, not to profile individual visitors. The reports we see are aggregated, so we are looking at patterns, not people.
The live chat widget on the site is run by a third-party provider and sets its own cookies so your conversation can continue as you move between pages. Anything you type in chat is handled under that provider's privacy terms as well as ours. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings whenever you like; the site will still work, though the chat window may not.
Who we share it with
The short answer: as few people as possible, and never for money. Your details are not sold, rented, or traded, full stop. The people who do see them are the ones who need them to run your tour. Your driver gets your name, pickup point, and group size. Our desert camp and activity partners get whatever is needed to have your table, buggy, or balloon basket ready when you arrive, and nothing beyond that.
The payment gateway that processes your card sees your payment details because that is its job; we covered that above. Beyond these cases, we would only disclose information where the law requires it, such as a formal request from UAE authorities that we are legally obliged to answer. Casual requests do not qualify, and we never volunteer customer data to anyone.
Data retention and security
We keep booking records for as long as we genuinely need them: to run your tour, to handle any follow-up or refund under our refund policy, and to meet the accounting and licensing requirements that come with being a registered tour operator in Dubai. Once a record has no remaining purpose, we delete it. Chat logs and enquiries that never turned into bookings are cleared out sooner than that.
On security: your details live in password-protected systems that only staff with a reason to see them can open. Payment data stays with the gateway, held to bank-grade standards, which is exactly why we route it there instead of keeping it ourselves. No company can promise perfect security and we will not pretend otherwise, but we take sensible precautions and review them as the business grows.
Your rights
The information we hold about you is yours to see. Email [email protected] and ask what we have on file, and we will send you a copy. Spotted a mistake, maybe an old phone number or a misspelled name? Tell us and we will correct it. You can also ask us to delete your data entirely. We will, unless a specific record has to stay for legal or accounting reasons, in which case we will explain exactly what stays and why.
Requests are free and you do not need to give a reason. To keep your data away from impostors, we may ask you to confirm a booking reference or to write from the email address on the booking before we release anything. You will normally hear back within a few working days, not weeks.
Contact and updates
This policy was last updated in July 2026. If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and the date along with it, so the version you are reading is always the one that applies. Any change big enough to matter to you will be flagged clearly rather than slipped in quietly.
Questions about any of this? Contact Safari Desert Dubai at [email protected], call or WhatsApp +971 52 447 2719, or write to our office: Concord Tower, Office 401, Al Sufouh 2, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Support is available around the clock, and privacy questions get answered by a person, not an autoresponder.
